i think thanksgiving may be my favorite holiday. a big sit down dinner with family. a day when everyone comes together and takes a moment to think about all the blessings we have. this year we have an additional blessing. noah james, born november 5th. my brother and his wife have guardianship for one year and if everything goes well, they will be able to adopt him by thanksgiving next year, giving us yet another thing to be grateful for.

here he is in pappap’s arms. another reason to be thankful, dad is home for thanksgiving after having spent the past two holidays in the hospital.
noah is lexie’s half brother. here she is wearing the penguin sweater i made her last christmas, she very knowingly informed me that penguins do not eat thanksgiving turkey, they eat snow.
we celebrated dad’s seventy fourth birthday this year. i made me an afghan, and he loved his card.
