i started a sweater for lexie for christmas, after seeing her at thanksgiving, and seeing how well the penguin sweater fit her, it gave mae a preetty good idea of her size. with money being so tight right now i really wanted to use stash yarn as much as possible for christmas knitting, also with time being short i chose patterns that would not be too time consuming. in other words, no yo’s, no intarsia this time around. this pattern is from debbie bliss cotton knits for all seasons, it ’s the sweater wth ribbed yoke pattern, and the yarn was in the stash. berroco’s touche’ in a baby blue. wat i didn;t like about this pattern is that it oes nto give you yardage. it gives you the name of the debbie bliss yarn used in the book, but doesn’t tell you yards. it makes it a bit tougher to substitue yarn that way. i chose the berocco simply because i had six skeins on hand and hoped that it would be enough. it took less than two full skeins to do the back, so we’ll see. i finished the back, and will start the sleeves tomorrow.
